ROCHESTER, N.Y. - April 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Whim Publishing is having major success with the award-winning picture book Randy Kazandy, Where Are Your Glasses? Everyone in the children's book industry wants to know how they're doing it, but the shrewd marketers at Whim are being pretty tight lipped about how they managed to have a big seller while ignoring most of the traditional methods. My investigation found that Randy Kazandy is available through Barnes and Noble and many outlets, but only a few like Amazon are places that normally sell books. The book is available at many optometrists' offices, and is also being sold by Jobson Optical Research. Since the high quality American-made, contaminate free book is about a cute little boy that needs glasses but doesn't want them, this seems like a match made in heaven for both the publisher and the sales outlets.

The brilliant lyrical rhyme by the author, Rhonda Fischer, and the cute artwork by Kim Sonaugle combined to form an irresistable book that both adults and children can enjoy. The children I spoke with also knew that Randy Kazandy song, and Randy's Motto, "I love being me." No CD is included with the book at this time, so I asked where they heard the song, one little girl replied, "Miss Rhonda came to school to teach us to love ourselves, so we could love others. She taught us the song, and then taught us what to do when we're being bullied. "  She also heard the song on Radio Disney as Rhonda appears on the show from time to time. After hearing this, I tried to set up an interview with the author, but could not, she's so busy taking Randy Kazandy to schools and other places like the Girls and Boys Clubs, Libraries and Autism Groups, all we could arrange was for me to tag along on one such visit to a school.

Mrs. Fischer played the piano, read the book to the children, complete with the artwork projected on a large screen. After that, she taught the Randy Kazandy song, with instruments she brought, and wearing extra large glasses. The children followed her instruction and hugged themselves saying "I love being me." She took questions from the children, and passed out Randy Kazandy wristbands to the children that pledged not to be bullies, and help when bullying occurs. They promise to be kind to everyone and find something good in everyone, then they sign the pledge and join the team Randy. I could not believe the effect Mrs. Fischer had on the children, and the adults that were present too. Some were in tears. It seemed to stir up some past issues with them as well. Everyone that meets Mrs. Fischer loves her, but few if any can keep up with her.

Can other authors find success with Whim Publishing? Maybe, but probably not to the degree this energetic lady does, she often does two or three school visits a day, in between she has meetings with people wanting to merchandise Randy Kazandy, and when she doesn't shut it off, her cell phone rings constantly. A large eye glass company is now creating a designer Randy Kazandy frame for kids that are unbreakable and the dyes are made from fruits and vegtables and are child- safe made in Italy. Eye patches are now being developed and eye professionals are going wild. She has regular conversations with Dr. David Hunter a professor and pediatric Ophthalmologist at Harvard who fell in love with the book and stated he had his own Randy Kazandy at home, his son.

All merchandise associated with Randy Kazandy must be contaminant free states Fischer. Randy Kazandy, Where Are You Glasses? is now available on apps through Auryn in Los Angeles. Auryn was amazed with her marketing skills that they asked her to be an agent for the company. She also won an award for the best children's app. Unstoppable Fischer wrote many rhyming children's stories and poems for her four children, now grown. She states that writing and publishing keeps her mind busy and off of missing her own children. She waited until they all left for college before starting her publishing company.

I trailed behind Mrs. Fischer for only half a day, and it wore me out, but her energy seems boundless. I think that is why this book is a big seller, with this lady behind it, and some help from the marketers at Whim, it could do nothing else, since Whim only does top quality books, and this lady is a force of nature that won't be denied, it had to be huge.
