Rain or shine it’s the 30th Annual Deaf Family BBQ!

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - May 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Sacramento, California — 04/29/2015 — NorCal Services for Deaf & Hard of Hearing is proud to announce the 30^th anniversary of one of our most attended and anticipated events, the Deaf Family BBQ. This year’s BBQ will be held in Oak Grove Regional Park, 4520 W. Eight Mile Road, Stockton, CA 95209 on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 12pm-6pm. Admission is free and parking is $6. More than 1000 deaf and hard of hearing individuals and their families are expected to come from all over northern California to attend this family friendly event.

The BBQ will include over a dozen vendors offering various goods and services. Entertaining us for the day will be a retired K9 from the Manteca Police Department. There will be a special appearance by California Senator Cathleen Galgiani. The BBQ menu includes choice of tri-tip or chicken along with sides and desert for only $7. There will be vendors selling drinks and cotton candy. We will have many activities to keep the kids busy including 4 bounce houses, face painting, craft tables, games, races, fishing, paddle boats, a 65 foot obstacle course, and basketball hoops. A raffle will take place with 25 different prizes including mini iPads and a children’s bike.
