The Lake Norman Orchestra: Spring in the Vineyard at Davesté Vineyards

MOORESVILLE, N.C. - May 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Returning for a spring celebration in Davesté Vineyards, the Lake Norman Orchestra will be performing an outdoor concert with a wide variety of selections of easy listening music for all to enjoy.   Please join us as the Lake Norman Orchestra celebrates Spring in the Vineyard!

For this family-friendly event, the admission fee is a  $10 cash ticket purchase per adult, payable at the vineyard entrance gate. For adults, your ticket includes one glass of wine with a Davesté Vineyard souvenir wine glass and a donation to the Lake Norman Orchestra’s fundraising efforts.   Ages 16-20 pay $5.00 cash at the gate which includes entertainment and donation only - no ticket issued.  Free Admission for ages 15 and under - no ticket issued.

Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket as the event is outdoors - seating is limited and fills up quickly. Pack your picnic basket and enjoy the casual outdoor afternoon atmosphere with friends and family while you enjoy great wine and music.  It's a great opportunity to share springtime outdoors with your loved ones and enjoy the wine tasting room and art gallery.

Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle (before, during and after the performance)...cash or credit.  Beer, soda and water will also be available for purchase.

Please note: NCABC prohibits the transport of outside alcohol onto Davesté property; outside alcohol is not permitted.

The Lake Norman Orchestra, a not-for-profit community organization, welcomes all volunteers who desire to improve their musicianship, share their talent with their peers and provide quality entertainment throughout the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The LKNO performs several concerts throughout the year at numerous venues in the Lake Norman area. The LKNO musical repertoire is as diverse as its membership, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Maestro Eduardo M. Cedeño has performed as a conductor, soloist and collaborative artist in the United States,Europe, and South America. In 2012, he led members of the Lake Norman Orchestra on a concert tour in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria.   As a founding member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Merida Symphony Orchestra and as a Founding Member of the Philharmonic Choral Group of Caracas, Venezuela, he has worked with the founder of El Sistema and the Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. Cedeño has collaborated with numerous performing organizations including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Opera, and Charlotte Civic Orchestra; UNCC Opera and Carolina Voices, as well as various orchestras in Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to conducting the Lake Norman Orchestra, Cedeño presently serves as Adjunct Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, Strings Instructor and former Orchestra Director at Gaston School of the Arts in Gastonia,  Chorus/Band Director at Community School of Davidson High School in Davidson, NC and Conductor of MusicalMinds Huntersville, an El Sistema inspired after-school youth music program.
