The All-New 2016 Honda HR-V Comes to Bosak Honda HighlandOne of the most anticipated vehicles of the year, the 2016 Honda HR-V goes on sale May 15.
The design of the 2016 Honda HR-V is similar to that of the Honda CR-V, but smaller and more compact. It’s available in three different trims: the LX, EX, and EX-L Navi trim levels. All trims feature standard amenities like Bluetooth connectivity, a push-button parking brake, and a rearview camera. Standard safety features include a tire pressure monitoring system and a passenger-side lane visibility camera. Based on the design of the CR-V, the platform and ability of the 2016 Honda HR-V is actually akin to that of the popular Honda Fit by offering a surprising amount of storage: 59 cubic feet is available for cargo with the rear seats folded down. Under the hood lies a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that can produce 138 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque. This is linked to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission, depending on the trim. The 6-speed transmission is only available for the front-wheel drive, while the CVT can accompany either front- or all-wheel drive configurations. The Continuously Variable version with a front-wheel drive gets an EPA-estimated 35 mpg highway. Priced at standard ranges for the class, the 2016 Honda HR-V will start at $19,995 for the bast trim and end at $22,045 for the top of the line trim. With the release of the 2016 Honda HR-V on May 15, area drivers are encouraged to head over to Bosak Honda Highland in Highland, IN to set up a test drive.
