R&B/LGBT Artist Monifah wins at GLAAD Media Awards!!

NEW YORK - May 11, 2015 - PRLog -- The 2015 GLAAD Media Awards were handed out over the weekend in New York City at The Waldorf Astoria. One of those winners was R&B Recording Artist Monifah and her wife Terez Mychelle, they won for Outstanding Reality Program.

For their wedding episode on TV One's R&B Diva - Atlanta franchise. Which made history last summer. The couple's wedding became the first African-American celebrity same-sex union wedding special that aired on national television.

Since the start of the new year, Monifah has been celebrating since, this past January she was honored with the 2015 Vanguard Award, from The OutMusic Awards which is a part of LGBT Academy of Recording Arts. Then in March, she released her a new single and video for the song "One Moment" which is getting rave reviews across the board. It's getting buzz as an anthem for people to take a moment for themseives and enjoy life in this face-paced world.

Her forthcoming independent album Invincible will be released later this year. Monifah could not be happier where her career is headed. She really is taking One Moment at a time to enjoy it.
