United Premier Soccer League’s Penmar FC LA Changes Name to PFC Venice

TORRANCE, Calif. - May 12, 2015 - PRLog -- May 12, 2015 – Torrance, CA – PFC Venice (UPSL) today announced that is has completed a name change to better reflect its Pro Development Soccer team’s community involvement in the West Los Angeles market. PFC Venice is a proud member of the Western Conference of the United Premier Soccer League which this coming summer season will boast 35 teams in three separate Conferences.

Yan Skwara, UPSL Commissioner said, “I think from both a soccer and marketing perspective, a name change makes absolute sense for PFC Venice. The club wants to partner with local businesses not to mention develop local soccer talent on the West side of Los Angeles and being that the season is just about to start, this is a great time to create a new brand and begin marketing.”

Owner Tyson Hilgenberg of PFC Venice said, “I have been thinking about this name change for quite a while and feel now is the time to make it official. We are a fresh dynamic soccer club playing and training in one of the best areas of Los Angeles and we really need the soccer community and local business partners to know our name and support our team.  We wanted to go back to the roots of the club and really connect with the local community where the club was founded.
