T&T Management and Booking Agency announced today that Shanytown has acquired some new additions to their already prestigious lineup. Currently, Shanytown is comprised of: Robbie Morris (drums), nephew of the late Ronnie Van Zant, and Donnie and Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd and 38 Special, and The Johnny Van Zant Band. Robbie's musical roots are deep and as fine as his uncles', and like his uncles, he's the real deal. Robbie, formerly of The Johnny Van Zant Band, is an acclaimed drummer; both in the states and Europe. He is joined by his “band of brothers”, Charles Moody (bass), and Duane Johnson (guitar). Charles Moody has been playing bass the majority of his life, and has played with some of Nashville's finest artists, and his credits include Loretta Lynn and The Bellamy Brothers. Duane Johnson has also been playing guitar since he was a teenager and has appeared with several bands, including Confederate Outlaws. There are some new residents of Shanytown—Robbie Gay (guitar), best known for his time playing and touring beside Robbie Morris with The Johnny Van Zant Band and vocalist Joe Mattiocco, who will be picking up the mic and lending his well-honed “pipes” to Shanytown as the new front man. Joe has been a popular vocalist with several bands, and has shared stages with the likes of Charlie Daniels, Trick Pony and Lorrie Morgan. The men of Shanytown will hit the ground running, as appearances are already pending, including headlining at Riverfront Nights in Chattanooga, TN, on July 25th. They are additionally touring with groups such as Blackfoot and Silversel, kicking off this summer with the full tour schedule to be announced soon. Shanytown currently enjoys radio play in the United States and across the globe, and their hit “Redneck” is a popular request by their growing fan base. Besides numerous appearances this summer, they are making plans for their much anticipated next album.
