Superfeet Helps Families Go Further

PORTLAND, Ore. - May 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Superfeet, a leading designer and manufacturer of over-the-counter insoles, are sponsoring all Hike it Baby hikes on Saturday, June 6, 2015, in honor of American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day®. Superfeet Worldwide Inc. will provide supportive premium insoles to all of Hike it Baby’s branch leaders, as well as a pair to give away on each of the branch’s hikes scheduled for that day. Currently, Hike it Baby has listed over 100 hikes on the American Hiking Society’s calendar.

Hike it Baby is an international organization dedicated to getting families out on the trails with newborns, toddlers, and children, and is the vision of Shanti Hodges, a 43-year-old first time mom from Portland, Oregon. “Superfeet is dedicated to helping people get out doing things in a supported way. So is Hike it Baby,” says Hodges, who founded the group in July 2013. “While we are mentally supporting families, Superfeet is physically supporting families with their insoles. It seemed like a natural partnership!”

Ali Carr Troxell is the Hike it Baby Seattle branch co-lead, as well as the liaison for the partnership. “Superfeet has been making insoles since 1977 to help support the load--especially for the active lifestyle market,” says Troxell. “Hike It Baby aligns perfectly with their intention because so many families in the group carry their babies and can use the added comfort that Superfeet provide. Even when pushing a stroller, Superfeet help a mom go longer and further.”

Nearly 100 Hike it Baby groups across the country will also promote the 23rd annual American Hiking Society National Trails Day by hosting free hikes. National Trails Day® is a nationally recognized trail awareness program that occurs on the first Saturday of June and inspires the public to discover, learn about, and celebrate trails while participating in outdoor activities and trail stewardship projects.
