First Hand Insight on the Student Employment Pulse

WALNUT, Calif. - May 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Max met with Michael Jimenez, head of Engineering, and was given a tour of the company led by alumni, Ken Cantrell.

“While on tour it was evident that SignResource is a major player in the design, manufacturing, installation/maintenance of sign and lighting products” said Max Lizarraga, Professor Emeritus, Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC).

Upon completion of the tour, Max met with Mark Ledbetter, Owner of SignResource to elaborate on the visit and discuss possibilities of providing additional employment opportunities.

“Like many of our student, Ken Cantrell participated in several local student competitions at Mt. SAC and took many classes in a variety of programs; Manufacturing, Engineering Design Technology, and IDE,” said Max Lizarraga. “There is a demand in Industry for students in these skill based programs. Upon completion of our programs at Mt. San Antonio College, we see an increase in the ability to secure career minded employment in the greater Southern California Area.”
