Cars.com/USA Today/“Motor Week” Award the 2015 Honda CR-V Winner of the Compact SUV ChallengeWith optimal balance of features, family-oriented design, interior space, and driving experience, the 2015 CR-V wins the day.
With the SUV segment being about the most competitive car segment in today’s market, Honda took matters seriously when making the 2015 Honda CR-V. According to senior vice president Jeff Conrad, general manager of the Honda Division, the development team worked hard to ensure that the success of previous years didn’t get in the way of improvement. And this year, they have further proven why the Honda CR-V has been America’s most popular SUV for the past decade, when customer standards are higher than they've ever been, requiring more value from their vehicles than ever before. What earned Honda the victory was a combination of several factors found on the world-famous CR-V. Honda's flagship SU was praised for its rewarding driving experience, generous amounts of interior room, and family-friendly features throughout. Seats that fold easily, a load floor that sits low for easy access, and rear air vents aim to make the ride practical and comfortable for every passenger. The 2015 model of the Honda CR-V also features improvements and upgrades to styling, performance, and fuel-efficiency that are of the utmost importance in today's car market. The Compact SUV Challenge compared seven of the most popular compact SUVs against one another in consumer tests and expert evaluations. To meet the criteria for the competition, each vehicle had to cost less than $28,000 and have an EPA-estimated combined city/highway fuel-economy of 26 mpg or better. The 2015 Honda CR-V has an MSRP of $27,675, and gets its qualifying gas mileage from a 4-cylinder engine and a Continuously Variable Transmission.
