Baton Rouge Professionals Can Learn Spanish Thanks To Casa de Amigos BR

BATON ROUGE, La. - June 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Casa de Amigos BR is launching a new service that they believe will support individuals and professionals in connecting with more people.  The company says it's new Beginning & Intermediate Spanish for Professionals classes will start Monday, June 29th and will meet weekly for 2 hours over a twelve week period.  The class will also be offered on Tuesdays to give interested parties two class dates to choose from.  The company which began in 2008 as a childcare provider teaching pre-schoolers Spanish as a second language says it also offers tutoring for adults and children.

With the number of residents in the United States who claim Spanish as their first language on the rise, Casa de Amigos BR owner JP Dunbar says it would be smart for anyone to begin equipping themselves with even a basic knowledge of the language.  Dunbar who studied Spanish in college later served as a private school teacher and public school interpreter before launching Casa de Amigos BR.  "What we know is that over 40 million individuals in the U.S. take a claim to Spanish as the language spoken in their households and the need to communicate with them in business is becoming more common. Spanish is by far the most common second language spoken and taught in the country, and with over 50 million total speakers, the United States is now the second largest Spanish-speaking country in the world after Mexico."  Dunbar says that she is even noticing a shift in the way employers seek candidates for employment. She states that in recent years a bi-lingual candidate could demand a higher salary for their skill whereas more recently employers are simply choosing to hire a bi-lingual candidate over a non-spanish speaking candidate for the same pay.

Industries that may benefit from taking the class range from construction and medical professionals to first responders and realtors with customer service agents also finding a major winning edge over their peers.  According to Casa de Amigos BR's website knowing a second language makes one more marketable in the work world and removes language barriers for those who travel abroad. The classes will provide a bit of both worlds for students.  "A portion of the class will concentrate on fluency using the Natural Learning Method which teaches them Spanish in the same way that they learned their first language - by listening and repetition.  The other segment of the class will focus on student-tailored vocabulary for specific use in their career or travel," says Dunbar.

The class Registration Fee is $55.  Students who register by June 12, 2015 can take advantage of the Early Bird Registration $10 savings.  Tuition is $395 and the cost of materials which includes a book, CD, and online support is $55. Payment plans are available.
