Institute of Technical Arts Welcomes Back Steven Dick as School DirectorVeterinary Technology hub in Florida returns to its roots with new hire
The Institute of Technical Arts is an independent, private postsecondary school specializing in veterinary technology and pet grooming programs. In 27 years, ITA has evolved from a pet grooming facility into an innovative teaching facility, offering training in vet tech programs, vet assistant programs, and dog grooming courses from leading practitioners in the industry. ITA prides itself on providing and creating opportunities for all aspiring animal care professionals to participate in educational initiatives – to not only enhance knowledge but encourage success – on the road to becoming a dog groomer, veterinary assistant, or veterinary technician. Steven Dick is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Management. For many years, he was very successful in various business management capacities for Fortune 500 companies, including career education schools. Since 2000 he has been employed in postsecondary education management. Mr. Dick served as the School Director at the Institute of Technical Arts from 2006 until 2013. During that time, his positive attitude motivated students and prepared them for new careers as pet groomers, veterinary assistants, and veterinary technicians. He spearheaded the implementation of an Associate of Science degree program in Veterinary Technology in 2013. Under Mr. Dick's previous leadership, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) awarded the "School of Excellence" to the Institute of Technical Arts in 2012. This accreditation determined that the educational quality of programs offered at ITA were within the ACCSC’s established standards. Also in 2012, ITA was chosen as one of the “Top 50 Companies to Watch” in the State of Florida by GrowFL – a moment of pride for the Director and the school. There were 425 nominees, but only 50 companies received the award. Moving forward, Mr. Dick will continue to rely on his vast experience to oversee the Institute of Technical Arts' vet tech programs, vet assistant programs, and dog grooming courses. His commitment to education and graduate success will continue to be his primary goal. According to Mr. Dick, “It is so rewarding to watch the transformation as our students first decide to pursue a career, and then grow to become successful in the Animal Care industry”. Mr. Dick’s knowledge, leadership, and passion help drive the Institute of Technical Arts' vet tech programs, vet assistant programs, and dog grooming courses to exceed current standards. This has made and will continue to make ITA the school of choice for those searching for a rewarding career as a pet groomer, veterinary assistant, or veterinary technician. According to CEO Laura Lundberg, “We are delighted and honored to have Steven Dick at the forefront of our school once again.” The Institute of Technical Arts is an independent, private postsecondary school specializing in applied animal education and training at the diploma and associate of science degree levels that has been in business since 1988. ITA offers vet tech programs, vet assist programs and dog grooming programs. These programs help promote academic excellence by encouraging students’ success and changing their lives on their way to become a Vet Assistant, Vet Tech, or Pet Groomer. http://myita.edu/ 321-280-5482 End
