Crowd-funding campaign for the world’s strongest solar charger for smartphones and tablets

GRAZ, Austria - June 17, 2015 - PRLog -- SunnyBAG managed to surprise and convince it’s crowd multiple times within the last years. Not only fans, but also national and international distributors recognized the potential of the young company from Austria, Europe. Therefore, SunnyBAG starts a crowd-funding Campaign for it’s new product PowerTAB on Indiegogo.com.

The PowerTAB is a small portable solar system. The USP: it is the most efficient one of its kind. It provides the possibility to use phones and tables with 100% renewable energy. “The PowerTAB shows that it is really possible to recharge your mobile devices independently and with green energy. It is a highly important step towards an eco-friendly future”, reinforces Founder and CEO Stefan Ponsold.

A wolf in sheep’s clothing: The SunnyBAG PowerTAB turns out to be a hero in its field. The 5 watt SUNPOWER© solar panel charges through a highly efficient power management consisting of two cells that together provide 6000mAh storage volume. It’s interesting to know that the same cell called 18650 is used in the Californian Tesla Models (Roadster and Model S).

A high quality transducer uses the technology to provide 2,4 Ampere output current, used through a USB output. This is enough to recharge big-size tablets quickly. An LED status display shows when to recharge the batteries. As a bonus there are two 1 watt lights at the back of the PowerTAB that can be used for reading etc. at night.

10 months development time  - it’s worth it!

SunnyBAG has been cooperating with “Doctors Without Borders” and cumulated expertise in the development for the humanitarian usage. In November 2014 SunnyBAG received the AidEX Award in Brussels. At the beginning of 2015 CEO Stefan Ponsold travelled to West Africa to test the SunnyBAG PowerTAB. The usability study resulted in developing an additional splash-proof surface (IPX5) that is robust like no other portable solar system.
