Spot Rochester's Renaissance Man, Adam Allen Berry

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Adam Allen Berry has been named the Renaissance Man of Rochester by Create4Good Gallery owner Susan Carmen Duffy.  Berry, who received his MFA degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, embodies this title with his art. He paints and draws in different mediums, creates pottery on the wheel and sculpts. He is also passionate about teaching, which has been his forte for over 15 years.

Berry was at the Rochester Public Market on Sunday painting a landscape among the crowds. Many of the market’s customers stopped to talk with the artist about how he got started, his preproduction process, where he teaches classes and what inspires him to paint.

Berry believes that original artwork is a powerful form of expression not only for the artists who create it, but also for those who own it. Art, he argues, allows both its creators and viewers a way to express their individuality.

This week, Adam will paint at the Jazz Festival on Gibbs Street and will continue painting around Rochester and surrounding areas for the summer. At the Jazz Fest, $1.00 raffle tickets are being sold for the chance to win one of his paintings or prints. A percentage of the purchase will go towards the Adam Allen Berry Kids Foundation Fund to help young artists.Look for the Renaissance Man!
