Moxie Gear Announces The Moxie Challenge

June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Moxie Gear announces today that we are launching The Moxie Challenge on Go Fund Me and asking for your help in launching a nationwide campaign to protect young women from violence and help bring an end to sexual assaults at Colleges and Universities across the nation. Statistics show that 1 in 4 (National Institute of Justice (https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/182369.pdf))   college age women are sexually assaulted. The Moxie Challenge is our way of giving back to the young women of our communities by awarding 500 ambassador scholarships to college students who demonstrate the heart felt desire to make their campus safer and the personal drive it takes to run a successful business.

Our goal is for students across the United States to start their own successful business with Moxie Gear, network with their fellow students and help protect them against the violence and assault that plagues many campuses and society as a whole. However, we cannot do it alone.  We need financial contributions from concerned citizens, like you, in order to make this a reality. Together, we can start protecting young women by giving them a fighting chance against those who would do them harm.

There will be 5 “Ambassador Scholarships” at 100 major campuses from coast to coast.  These 500 scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit to outstanding student entrepreneurs who submit a 2 minute video to our website (http://www.moxiegear.net/college-ambassador/default.aspx).    The winners will demonstrate both a deep passion to help protect their fellow students and the drive to launch their own independent business.  The scholarships will provide, at no cost, a complete consultant launch kit (http://www.moxiegear.net/products/599-full-consultant-lau...), which includes a wide range of fully functional self-defense items and business marketing materials valued at over $300.  In addition, each winner will be supported by a highly targeted social media campaign highlighting them as local community leaders while simultaneously raising campus awareness about the physical threats posed to young women at universities across the nation.

The Moxie Challenge strives to protect college women by giving them the knowledge, tools, and self-confidence they need to defend themselves from violence.  The hands on business management and leadership skills gained by our Ambassadors will enrich and benefit these young women for the rest of their lives.  Being a successful entrepreneur and running a small business is a comprehensive life skill that will positively affect them as graduate and move forward with their careers and personal lives.

With your generous help, we can give hundreds of students the chance to start their own business while giving hundreds of thousands more the opportunity to learn the importance of confidence, personal protection, and self-defense.
