Blue Flowers Organization is Dedicated to Raising Awareness for Prostate Cancer

WASHINGTON - July 2, 2015 - PRLog -- CNPR is proud to announce their new Non-Profit division with the signing of Blue Flowers Organization. The mission of Blue Flowers is to empower women and the men in their lives against prostate cancer. Women are the primary influencers of medical decisions for the family and they are looking to empower women to take the hand of a male loved one and support them through the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer. In addition, African American men are diagnosed with, suffer from and have a  higher mortality rate of prostate cancer than any group of men.

The organization is operated by Mother/Daughter duo Valerie Crawford-Schiele (Mother) & Shavonn Richardson- (Daughter). They founded this organization late last year after Valerie's father lost his 12 year battle with prostate cancer. Throughout his battle it was the women in his family who took him for doctor visits, served as caregivers and advocated on his behalf. As a result, Blue Flowers Organization will be dedicated in providing education and raising awareness of prostate cancer, to provide PSA screenings and to raise funds to eradicate prostate cancer.

When asked about the importance of creating the organization, Co-Founder and CEO Valerie Crawford-Schiele states "Blue Flowers Org exists to honor the loving memory of my father, Gilbert E. Crawford, Sr. Our mission is to empower women to support the men in their lives against prostate cancer. Our hope is that many will join us in the fight against prostate cancer to save our fathers, brothers, husbands, sons and other men in our lives."

In upcoming news,  Blue Flowers Organization has been chosen as the recipient for the Bends, Brunch & Bubbly event happening August 22 in Washington, DC. The mission of Bends, Brunch & Bubbly is to  give back to the community while promoting wellness and health.
