Lori-Ann Marchese announced as CMNH’s Miracle Challenge Boot Camp Track Fitness Coach

July 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Starting Sept. 1, Lori-Ann will be embarking on the Miracle Challenge to not only exercise every day for 27 days, but to also help kids at her local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. This important fundraiser will not only help supporters get fit, but also raise much-needed funds for kids in her community.

Miracle Challenge is a 27-day wellness challenge that encourages participants to achieve their fitness goals, while fundraising for kids at their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Over the course of 27 days participants will accomplish 27 different mini-challenges all connected to Lori-Ann’s fitness passion. While Boot Camp challengers get fit, there are kids in local CMN Hospital who can’t go for a walk, a run, or a bike ride.  They are fighting scary illnesses like cancer, or recovering from an illness most people can’t even pronounce.  The overall goal is to help them get better, so one day, they can join this fitness challenge as well.

Lori-Ann is participating in the Miracle Challenge for many reasons.  Lori-Ann said “For firsts, I enjoy it. My life revolves around fitness. What makes my fitness lifestyle all the more sweet is that I have opportunities to help inspire and change people's lives on a large scale. I get to share 27 workouts nationwide. I do a tremendous job in my home gym and now I get to take what I share locally, to a new level. Having the opportunity to work with people nationwide is the best honor as a trainer.

On a more personal level, I can connect to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. My sister, Jennifer, was a patient at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. At a very young age, she was diagnosed with celiac disease. She was not able to gain weight and she couldn't eat very much but no one knew why. After she was diagnosed with this disease, she learned that she had a deficiency of growth hormones. This meaning, the count of growth hormones was very low and she was not growing at a normal rate. The result of this was she received growth hormone replacement and transferred to a gluten free diet. Now at 27-year’s old, Jennifer is a very healthy woman thanks to the help and guidance of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital of Connecticut.”
