Guernsey Farms Dairy To Celebrate 75th Anniversary With 75 Year Ice Cream Giveaway

NORTHVILLE, Mich. - July 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Popular craft dairy brand, Guernsey Farms Dairy is celebrating its 75^th anniversary with the Guernsey Farms Dairy Lifescream Giveaway - a chance to win 75 years of free ice cream via an online entry code on specially-marked packages of Guernsey ice cream.

Since it was founded in 1940, Guernsey has been making a name for itself in the dairy world with its top-quality milks, premium ice creams a variety of other dairy products. This year, there’s a good chance that it may be associated with something else: the first of its kind 75 year ice cream giveaway.  “We wanted to do something big and fun to celebrate, and we think this is a really tasty way to do it,” says Guernsey Dairy President, Marty McGuire. “Winning a lifetime supply of ice cream is everyone’s dream, and we’re going to make that dream come true for someone - a chance to win 75 years worth of free ice cream in their freezer. How awesome is that?” In addition to the one grand prize winner, 74 runner-ups will receive one year of free Guernsey ice cream.

Entering is easy. Starting August 2^nd, Guernsey fans will be able to pick up specially marked packages of ice cream from local retailers or the Guernsey Dairy in Northville. Each carton will have a unique code that can be entered online. Customers may enter more than once, using codes from different packages to increase their chances of winning until the contest ends on August 29th. The grand prize winner and their family can then expect a 75-year relationship with Guernsey as the winnings are transferrable to a family member or friend.  “We’ve got over 35 different flavors available right now. That’s enough to try every single one, dozens and dozens of times – and they’ll have a lifetime to do it,” says McGuire.

McGuire is second-youngest son of John McGuire, who founded Guernsey in his hometown of Northville in 1940 – the same place it does business to this very day. He built the company on a solid foundation of quality, fresh ingredients, and then hired his friends and family to help him make it happen. Not much has changed since then; only the family and the line of products have gotten bigger. What started off as just milk has grown to include a variety of premium ice creams and other specialty food products. In addition to their 75^th anniversary celebration, Guernsey will be marking the occasion with the unveiling of a new brand, refreshed packaging for their existing products and a revamped website later this year.
