Papa Joes Italian Restaurant & Bar Partners with the NWABA to Build Awareness for Blind Athletes

BOISE, Idaho - July 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Often the challenges faced by the blind are seen as hardships by the general public leading to sympathy rather than encouragement. This is not the case with the members of the Boise Blaze goal ball team. Individually inspiring and filled with confidence, strength and fortitude, the players exemplify the best qualities found in true competitors - blind or sighted. Their abilities and passion provide the foundation for a partnership with Papa Joe's Italian Restaurant & Bar. "I have been around and participated in competitive sports all my life and really admire and respect the members of the Boise Blaze, said Mike Grant, owner of Papa Joes. "They are living proof that loss of a sense is nothing more than a temporary setback to be overcome."

Sponsored by the Northwest Association of Blind Athletes, the Boise Blaze is building a team and local awareness surrounding the achievements and potential opportunity for sight-challenged people. Papa Joes donated all proceeds from their recent golf challenge at the 30th B-Day Bash held July 27th, as a first step in support of this incredible sports team. Additionally, the restaurant will support the upcoming gala event September 11th, at the Power House event center.
