The British Are Coming to Hollywood!

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - July 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Coming to Los Angeles with a only a dream and steely determination, British actress Sandra De Sousa boarded a plane from London to join the hundreds of other talented and well-known British actors embarking on a career in Hollywood. After hearing some of the horror stories which highlighted the difficulties for foreigners to break into the tight knit circle, she was even more determined to make her mark!

Working closely with celebrity acting coach Bernard Hiller http://www.bernardhiller.com/ , and carrying a suitcase full of her best red carpet clothes, Sandra first came to Los Angeles 4 years ago and hasn’t looked back! At first taking meetings and getting introduced to the new market, then paying her dues in smaller independent projects, hosting red carpets and co-hosting entertainment talk shows; now her hard work has started to pay off. This year alone she has 3 films coming out, including “After Ours” directed by Emmy Award winning director Shane Stanley, where she plays a good cop, ‘Officer Smith.

Arcana Films and producer, Kellie Koppel have just announced that Ms De Sousa is now attached to be a lead in the upcoming television project,” It’s So LA”, slated for production later this year. Ironically the half hour comedy spotlights the trials and tribulations of "living the dream" in Hollywood.

Now living her own dream, Sandra’s foothold in Hollywood is here to stay. The Sexy, Sassy, Brit will prove to be a very hot commodity as her stock (and star meter) rise. When asked what the hardest part of her journey has been, she shares, “Keeping faith and dealing with rejection; even when the casting directors love your work, sometimes it goes to someone else."
Adding, "You have to have keep a balance of being strong and having a thick skin, and maintaining the sensitivity and vulnerability of an artist." And the advice that she would give to other foreigners coming to Los Angeles to break into the industry, “Be committed and fearless, have a strong plan of action,  find yourself a great mentor and good supportive friends, find a steady income and a good GPS!”
