Cannachar is a Biochar based Soil Amendment that is made, in the case of Cannachar, by heating 100% Pine (softwood) through a process called slow pyrolysis which is taking the originating Biomass (Pine) and heating it in an oxygen free environment for extended periods of time at temperatures ranging from 400C - 600C. This process will reduce the Biomass to its base element which is Carbon.
