New Media Film Festival – The Future of Entertainment, celebrates the Best in New Media to the world in all media that are innovative, imaginative and hailed for making “the cutting edge accessible” by Huffington Post.

New Media Film Festival intersects the interactivity of new technologies & formats for Media & Cinema which exemplify the power of the cinematic arts to inspire and transform. A festival Honoring Stories Worth Telling that are created by people of All Ages-All Cultures-All Media. New Media Film Festival highlights New Technology, Financing & Monetization, the Convergence of Media, and where Traditional Media meets New Media.

As noted by NMFF attendee and Academy Award-winning producer Nicholas Reed, “The New Media Film Festival seemed like an outlier when it started in 2010 with their strange categories. All of a sudden, web series, 3D storytelling, and digital comics have become the new normal. The NMFF is always looking to the future, challenging creators, the market and the audience to discover new storytelling. There are not many festivals pushing the limits. Go NMFF!”

While many festivals have stuck with “old-school” programs of shorts and features, the NMFF exhibits a stunning diversity of emerging media across 20 categories, including Digital Comics, 3D, and mobile content. Besides envisioning the future of media, the festival is also concerned with the future of the world itself.

As always, the festival will include several high-octane panels with industry experts, a Red Carpet Press Junket, VIP Soiree, 3D Opening Night, Networking, International Art Exhibit, Award Ceremony, and Screenings conclude with Q&A sessions of the filmmakers and participants. The 7^th Annual New Media Film Festival will be held in Los Angeles CA June 7, 8 & 9^th 2016.

Script and audiovisual works in all formats, genres, and languages are accepted. Programming is categorized into existing and emerging technologies that make up the contemporary mediascape. This includes 3D, Animation, Apps, Digital Comics, Documentary, Feature, LGBT, Machinima, Made on Mobile/Tablet,  Music Video, New Media, Pilots, New Media Scripts,  Shorts, Shot on RED, Sniplers “ 30 second pitch, SRC- Socially Responsible Content, STEAM-Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, Trailers and Web Series.

Judges from Marvel, Oscars, Grammys, Emmys and SAG/AFTRA.  $45,000.00 in Awards - 20 categories.  Submissions accepted until April 25^th of each festival year.  Each entry is considered for Programming, Competition & Distribution
