South Carolina queens recognized at International Pageant

Emma Webb, Miss South Carolina International, finished 2nd Runner-up in the Miss division at the International Pageant in Jacksonville, FL, this past weekend, while Madison Cox, Miss Teen South Carolina International, finished in the Top 10.
 
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Aug. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- August 4, 2015 – Emma Webb, Miss South Carolina International of Greer, SC, finished 2nd Runner-up in the Miss division at the International Pageant in Jacksonville, FL, this past weekend, while Madison Cox, Miss Teen South Carolina International of Duncan, SC, finished in the Top 10, received the Teen Fitness award, and earned a $70,000 scholarship to Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. Webb also received the Evening Gown award, and both girls received Most Photogenic awards.

The Miss Teen International preliminaries were held July 30, with the Miss International preliminaries held July 31, and finals for both divisions held Saturday, August 1, 2015, in the Moran Theater at the Times Union Center for Performing Arts in downtown Jacksonville, FL. The South Carolina queens were among more than 70 young women from the United States and other countries competing for the titles of Miss International and Miss Teen International.

"We couldn't be more proud of Emma and Madison," expressed Tiffany Carnahan, Executive Director of South Carolina International Pageants. "They are both beautiful young women, inside and out, who serve their communities and causes admirably."

Emma Webb, 20, is currently studying to be a pediatric nurse practitioner at Anderson University with a specialization in endocrinology. She is an advocate of Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes Research, having been diagnosed with the disease herself at age 6.

Madison Cox, 16, is a junior at James F. Byrnes High School and works along side the American Cancer Society to not only help care for those who suffer from cancer but also the caregivers and family members who love them.

Elise Banks, Miss Texas International, won the Miss International 2015 crown, and Jules Fletcher, Miss Teen Arkansas International, took home the Miss Teen International 2015 title.

The Miss International Pageant showcases single women ages 19-to 30 years old, and the Miss Teen International Pageant focuses on young women ages 13-to 18 years old. The International Pageant system was established 30 years ago to promote women and their accomplishments through pageant competitions that embrace the highest of standards. The system offers young women the opportunity to work with others around the world to become positive role models. Each event offers contestants the chance to learn about customs and family life in other countries, along with the chance to share her beliefs and make new friends during the entire week of activities leading up the to two exciting evenings of final competition. In addition to beauty, style and overall poise, the pageants highlight the many successes and charitable causes each contestant supports throughout the year. The final contests feature live entertainment, celebrity emcees and competitions in four categories, including interview, evening gown, fitness wear, and fun fashion wear.
