South Carolina pageant seeking participants

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Oct. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- South Carolina International Pageants is seeking young women to participate in its annual Miss & Miss Teen South Carolina International® Pageant, the official state preliminary to the prestigious Miss International® and Miss Teen International® pageants. The Miss & Miss Teen South Carolina International Pageant will take place April 18-19, 2014 at The Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Miss contestants must be a minimum of 19 years of age and no older than 29 years of age by July 1st, 2014. Miss Teen contestants must be a minimum of 13 years of age and no older than 18 years of age by July 1st, 2014. All contestants must be a born female, single, never have been married, nor given birth to a child. All contestants must be a U.S. citizen and either a legal resident of South Carolina, attend college in South Carolina, or own property in the state. All contestants must be of good health and moral character and must never have been convicted of a felony crime.

All contestants will be judged in four areas of competition: fitness wear (20%), evening gown (20%), fun fashion (20%), and interview (40%). No bathing suit or talent required. The lucky young women selected by the judges as the new titleholders will receive a prize package that includes their travel expenses and entry fees paid to the 2014 Miss International and Miss Teen International competitions in Jacksonville, Florida.

Entry deadline is March 15, 2014.

All participants will receive an official International Pageants local crown and embroidered sash, a souvenir program book, an 8” x 10” class photo, ticket to the celebratory coronation ball, daily meals during pageant activities, and transportation to/from pageant weekend events.
