When it comes to authentic Mexican cuisine, La Casa delivers!

Restaurant in the heart of Rochester satisfies tastes of all kinds.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Aug. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- The house on Alexander has an unassuming exterior, with dark wood, teal accents, and a hand-painted sign to announce the existence of the business inside. But once you pass the threshold, either to sit down at the bar inside or to explore the seating options on the porch, La Casa reveals its homey, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was warm and inviting, especially our waitress, whose efforts to make us feel comfortable went above and beyond.

From start to finish, the food and drink were excellent. First were the margaritas, which put the “happy” into happy hour. Next we were served chips with various dips, which were truly mouth-watering. As they were made from scratch, all of them had a nice fresh taste. Eating the just-prepared guacamole surrounded by the Spanish architecture of the restaurant, we definitely didn’t feel like we were in Rochester!

Next up was the main course. It was tempting to fill up on the appetizers, but luckily we didn’t, and the three soft-shelled tacos that I ordered, served with beans and rice, were delicious. The meat was tender, and the beans and rice complimented the tacos quite nicely. Everything had a bit of spice in it: just enough to give us an authentic kick of Mexico.

Upon entering the little hideaway that is La Casa, the question in my mind was whether or not I’d end up wanting to come back. The answer is a resounding yes! If reasonably priced, fantastically tasty Mexican food is up your alley, make sure to give this place a try.
