Powell Ad Agency Awards Hilliard Student with $1,500 Art Scholarship

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Aug. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- LaineGabriel has awarded Riley Beard of Hilliard Bradley with their fifth annual Tenfold Initiative scholarship. The Tenfold Initiative is a $1,500 art scholarship and mentoring program offered exclusively to Central Ohio high school seniors.

Beard will attend the Columbus College of Art and Design, and plans to major in industrial design. She is active in the Columbus arts community and said she hopes to give back in the future the way LaineGabriel has.

“The Tenfold Initiative scholarship amazes me,” Beard said. “It is truly an act of love and sacrifice. The story is incredibly inspiring and gives me hope! I would love to be able to do this for someone, or impact a life in some way.”

Beard’s referring art teacher, Sally Ruffing, will receive a $150 gift card to Blick Art Materials to assist with classroom supply costs.

Five aspiring artists from Hilliard Bradley, Bishop Hartley, Gahanna Lincoln and Bishop Watterson have been awarded the Tenfold Initiative scholarship since its 2011 launch. Emma Pennington, the first recipient from 2011, graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design in May.
