Eric has a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University, and his MBA from the University of South Florida. He is from MI and has been in the health care field his entire career. He moved to Florida in 1986 to work for Manatee Memorial Hospital. He was CFO of Florida Hospital Kissimmee, then Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. He then went on to become Director of Operations at Florida Hospital Healthcare, then CFO at The Center for Drug Free Living in 1998. After a merger, he was CFO of the newly formed Aspire Health Partners. “I immediately felt a connection with Ivan when I had my phone interview with him,” said Eric. “I liked the company culture, what they stand for, and their company values of integrity, excellence, and service,” Horst added. His duties at SMA include strategic financial planning/forecasting, formulation and execution of SMA’s annual budget, and compliance with governmental funding requirements as well as other regulatory organizations.
