Doug and Marci Douty Launch Home Helpers Franchise in Central Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - Aug. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Doug and Marci Douty are excited to bring their shared experience in business and social work to their new company, Home Helpers & Direct Link of Central Iowa.

Doug’s background includes an MBA and more than 20 years in business as an information technology, information security and compliance professional. Marci’s 23-year career in social work has included time spent as a director of social services, a discharge planner, a hospice professional and more. She also has master’s degree and a certificate in gerontology.

“We owned a carpet cleaning business together once before we moved to Iowa 10 years ago, so we knew we worked well together. We decided that we wanted to launch another business, but it had to be something we were both passionate about and something that played to our joint strengths. In home care was a perfect fit and franchising with Home Helpers gave us access to their years of experience and the support of a corporate team,” Doug said.

In addition to their professional experience, the Douty’s have personal experience with the challenges of keeping aging family members happy, safe and healthy in their own homes for as long as possible. Marci’s grandmother was diagnosed with dementia, both her grandfathers struggled with Alzheimer’s disease and her other grandmother lived to be almost 100 years old; staying in her home until she was 95.
