Southeastern IT Firm EDTS Adds Jess Smith as Support Engineer

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Aug. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Information technology engineer Jess Smith has joined EDTS, a regional IT services company specializing in managed IT services, network security, and advanced infrastructure for Southeastern businesses, as a desktop support engineer on its rapidly growing team.

A native of Varnville, South Carolina, Mr. Smith has over seven years of combined professional experience in networking, support and system security across multiple industries including healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing and professional services.  He joins EDTS after several years in IT support with a large regional healthcare system.

Mr. Smith holds numerous certifications including the CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ certifications, as well as multiple Microsoft professional certifications.  A graduate of ITT Technical Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Security and additional training in Computer Network Systems, he is a resident of Greer, South Carolina.

In his new role, he will help ensure that critical IT systems are available, optimized, and secure, while helping client organizations increase team productivity and reduce cost associated with information technology.  Mr. Smith will work primarily out of the Greenville and Columbia offices of EDTS, while supporting other offices as needed.
