Chris Stathopoulos now leads the board for the Chicago HELP Initiative which serves Chicago's homeless and underprivileged.
By: The Chicago HELP Initiative “I believe I’ve given the best of my years to this organization and with an engaged and committed board in place, I along with my fellow board members all feel that Chris is poised to lead this group towards new successes for the community we serve,” says Hayes. Since inception, CHIwas designed to go above and beyond serving 130 hot and wholesome meals and 70 sack dinners to its guests every Wednesday at the facilities of the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, 721 N. LaSalle Street. Today, CHI offers a comprehensive array of programs that include blood pressure checks, mental health, employment and literacy support, HIV testing, and resources that help individuals find housing and more. This year the nonprofit added a nurse practitioner who visits each week. Personal recognition is an important attribute of the programs offered, and includes giving guests gift certificates and birthday cards each week.
