2015 What A Fan Awards Tailgate Club Of The Year

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Recently the 2015 What A Fan Awards wrapped up its third year honoring dedicated devoted fans for their contribution to sports. The Award Show is the worlds only event of its kind, it was created in 2013 specifically to recognize passionate fanatics in all genres of both professional and collegiate sports. Held in Orlando Florida for the last three years the event has provided recognition for some of the most visable fans in sports. There are several categories fans can be nominated for which include the four major leagues, soccer, nascar, college football and basketball. Additionally there's an American Sports Icon Award which both Dick Vitale and Muhammad Ali have won, an online media and sports video parodies category just to name a few. The show has been moved to Los Angeles, California beginning July 2016 and will be held the same week of the ESPY's.

Orlando's PredNation takes home the 2015 Tailgate Club of the Year at this years What A Fan Awards in Orlando Florida. The club is by far the most active and recognized fan club of the AFL Orlando Predators. They don't just attend every game, tailgate with other and get the fan based fired up during games. They're active in the greater Orlando community as a group and collevtively with their beloved team. They're coodinating special events with players, fundraising for charities and mentoring young new fans. The group has inspired other AFL fan around the League to be more involved with their teams and communities, they're a real example of what respectful and inclusive fan interaction should look like in any sport! We caught up with James Wetzel & Richard Grabe, a couple of the managing members after they won to get their reaction.

How did you feel when you found out you had won the What A Fan Awards for your years of devotion to a sport and team you love?

Richard: After winning the Tailgate/Group Category. Wow! Surprised! Shocked!Pride! So happy to bring this award to, not only PredNation but to all Orlando Predator Fans. Looking back 25yrs, I never thought that wearing a Predhead would have such an impact.Next to being the 1st Orlando Predator Fan inducted into the Fan Hall of Fame, this What A Fan Award clearly ranks up there if not more.I'm not one to harp on myself. I've always been there for the fans & team. So proud of the Board members that made my dream come true.Thank you all!

James: Prednation was very excited, thrilled , and blessed to be named the winner of the 2015 What A Fan Tailgating Club/ Group this year. We have worked very hard thru blood, sweat, and tears to get where we are today. This club (Prednation) is one big happy, loving, and dedicated club and with that it has paid off to win the 2015 What A Fan Tailgating Club/ Group. You're now part of the historic foundation of the worlds only recognition award show for sports fans. What does that mean to you?

Richard: It's an honor and a privilege to be part of this historic event .Winning this category mean's I'll be monitoring my group even more to make sure they conduct themselves with good sportsmanship & pride.

James: Being part of this historic foundation (What A Fan) means a lot to me and Prednation. Prednation couldn't be more excited to be part of such a fantastic organization that brings all SUPERFANS from around the world together. This organization brings us all together to show our love, dedication, and support for our sports and our teams no matter where your from and who you love and support.
