Third Coast Analytics CEO joins Data Science team at Capture Higher Ed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oct. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Capture Higher Ed announced today that Pete Barwis has joined the company’s data science arm, Capture LABS, to further develop its analytical enrollment management products and services for higher education institutions. Pete joins the company with extensive experience in statistical programming, predictive modeling and data visualization, having spent the past five years at Third Coast Analytics (TCA) as CEO and Chief Data Scientist. His appointment to Capture LABS, coincides with the launch of the company’s newest data-driven enrollment management product, Capture Behavioral Engagement.

Pete is joining Capture Higher Ed in its mission to replace antiquated student recruitment practices with more sophisticated data-driven activities and plans to build on the success he achieved while at analytics consultancy, TCA. In particular, Pete’s models averaged 94% accuracy when making enrollment yield predictions, and the company’s partner institutions saved an average of $100,000 per enrollment cycle.

In his new role, Pete will focus primarily on building next-generation machine-learning predictive models to provide advanced analytics and better outcomes for Capture’s partner colleges and universities. He is also building a code-driven report system to generate deliverables to Capture’s partners more quickly and effectively than previously possible.
