Search For New Hodges University President Begins

New Hodges University President Will Take Office in July 2016

NAPLES, Fla. - Oct. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- The Hodges University Board of Trustees has begun the search for a permanent president to replace Dr. David Borofsky, who is currently serving as interim president. The university is being assisted in the search by Academic Search, Inc., an executive search firm with more than 35 years of experience serving higher education institutions.

“Hodges University is seeking a dynamic and visible leader to build on the institution’s well-established excellence in serving the needs of adult learners,” said John Agnelli, chairman of the university’s Board of Trustees. “The new president must help build upon the vision that enjoys support from on-campus constituents and the community, which includes strengthening the institution’s ties to the Southwest Florida community and working with on-campus constituents to come together around the mission and values of the university.”

Candidates for the next Hodges president must possess an advanced degree, progressively responsible leadership experience, and success in a visible leadership role. A complete list of the qualifications for the position can be found at https://academic-search.com/data/files/hodgespresidentpro....

“The search committee is comprised of members of Hodges’ Board of Trustees and is chaired by Keith Arnold, vice chairman of the board,” said Agnelli. “An advisory committee, including community members and representatives of the university’s faculty, staff, and student body, will be named to assist the search committee, which will select the new president.”

Applications, nominations, and expressions of interest can be submitted in confidence to HodgesPresident@academic-search.com. The position is open until filled, but only applications received by December 7, 2015 can be assured full consideration. It is anticipated the new president will be named in February or March 2016 and will take office in July.

“For 25 years, Hodges University has contributed to the richness of Southwest Florida by providing an outstanding and diverse learning environment,” said Agnelli. “To ensure the university’s continued success, the next president must be able to envision and implement a strategic direction that will take Hodges into the next 25 years and beyond.”
