GURGAON, India - Oct. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- The long overdue apartments of Noida Extension, which were delayed by litigation, are finally poised at handover stages. The buyers meeting is going to be held on October 11 by the umbrella body of home buyers. These buyers have invested in different projects at Noida Extension, or Greater Noida West — the Noida Extension Flat Owner's Welfare Association (NEFOWA). The group has announced a launch of a signature campaign from the same day to show dislike against the hand-over procedure.

Some builders have started offering possession of the flats but are not providing them with the completion certificate. The possession without completion certificate can be a problem for the buyers, but the buyers have no other option. Builders are also making customers sign all pre-conditions before the handover. People should be aware of these issues said Shweta Bharti, general secretary, NEFOWA.

The Buyers addresses the issue of penalty on delayed projects. “They are unwilling to pay up the delay- penalty. Instead, they have started asking money for farmer’s compensation. This is biased and goes against the buyer- builder agreement as well. It is high- time the flat buyers took significant steps against these practices,” Indrish Gupta, co-founder of NEFOWA stated.

Customers are concerned with majorly with eight issues, and they wish to address them. These issues are as follows:

1.    Delivery of flats without the completion certificates,

2.    Forcibly taking signature from the buyers on NOC,

3.    Demand for extra payments by the builders at the time of possession,

4.     Unjustified and different charges, electricity charges, power back-up charges for various projects,

5.    Poor construction quality, etc.

Buyers want to take these issues to the respective authority as well as submit a complaint at Prime Minister’s office and the ministry of urban development.
