She also oversees the school newspaper “The Heart Beat.” Briggs received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Stonehill College and her Massachusetts Secondary Certification in English from Bridgewater State University. Prior to joining Sacred Heart, Briggs was a student teacher at Carver Middle/High School and a substitute teacher at Sacred Heart, her alma mater. She also substituted at Middleboro High School. Her journalistic experience includes an internship with The Brockton Enterprise and as a reporter for several area newspaper outlets.
