BluePrint Engines launches new 400c.i. engine line

KEARNEY, Neb. - Oct. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Beginning in 1970, GM began production of its 400 cubic inch engine — the largest displacement of GM’s

small block “mouse” engines. Legendary for producing tremendous amounts of torque and popular with both on and off road racers, it unfortunately only saw a relatively short production run of ten years, ending in 1980.

Now, after a hiatus of 35 years, BluePrint Engines is pleased to announce the reintroduction of its own, designed from the ground up 400 c.i. small block “mighty mouse”. Developed exclusively by BluePrint Engines’ engineering team utilizing modern computer design tools and manufacturing processes, this rugged power house features a BRAND NEW precision cast, CNC machined iron block as its foundation produced entirely in the USA.

Possessing far more horsepower and stronger than the original, the BluePrint 400 has been completely updated with roller lifters, one piece rear seal, and 4-bolt splayed main caps. Sold standard with aluminum heads and available in multiple versions from 460 hp to 508 hp, these all new dyno-tested engines aren’t your grandpa’s 400!

These high-output engines were developed with automotive enthusiasts in mind looking for the combination of a new precision cast iron block coupled with all new components and rounded out with one of the industry’s best warranty. As with all engines in BluePrint’s lineup, each 400c.i. engine is shipped with complete individual dyno test results ensuring predictable horsepower and torque output. BluePrint Engines puts their money where their mouth is, by backing their engines with an industry leading 30 month/50,000 mile warranty.
