BAEO Action Fund Endorses John A. Brown for School Board

NEW ORLEANS - Oct. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Today, the Black Alliance for Educational Options Action Fund (BAEO Action Fund) announced it has endorsed John A. Brown for Orleans Parish School Board in District 1 for his stellar record of advancing education reform initiatives to provide parental choice and improve learning outcomes at all public schools.

"Experience matters. The next generation of young learners and thinkers will be served well by having a dedicated educator like John A. Brown on their side,” said BAEO Action Fund Interim President Jacqueline Cooper. “Brown has been a champion when it comes to tackling some of the tough issues surrounding education reform in his district. BAEO Action Fund believes he will continue to be a steadfast fighter for Black families and their children to increase access to high-quality educational options for years to come.”

A former two-time principal of the year, Brown is a lifelong educational leader who has helped shape the minds of young people for over 30 years. For nearly a decade, he has served as a board member of New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School, and director of the School Leadership Center's Fellows Program, a leadership development program impacting over 300 principals and assistant principals in the region.
