Flying Squirrel Ranch & Farm Now Makes Whisky

ROMNEY, W.Va. - Nov. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Prohibition never took hold in the Potomac Highlands and the legend continues but now all’s legitimate.  Flying Squirrel Ranch & Farm, home of RADA Brand Appalachian Spirits, is the first and only mini-distillery in the oldest county of West Virginia. Nestled in the rugged foothills of the Potomac Highlands, the Flying Squirrel Ranch makes whisky, brandy, rum, and gin...and of course, moonshine.

The Ranch is only a two to three hours drive from Washington DC, Pittsburgh or Baltimore but brings in tourist from surrounding states and overseas. RADA Brand Appalachian Spirits is produced from locally produced fruit, corns, oats, barley, and nuts. The Gin, one a specialty of the FSQR is, scented with wild botanicals grown on the farm.

In celebrating Veterans Day, FSQR is handing out free 50 mil. samples of any of its finest RADA Brand Appalachian Spirits to all veterans who stop by for a free taste. On-site sales are also available. This Veterans Day the Farm is opened for fishing and hiking and local site seeing.

Other activities at the Ranch include free fishing and overnight camping and hiking. There are many civil war sites throughout the Highlands and short drives from the Ranch.
