Latin Pop R&B Artist Marcel Red Nominated For A Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA)

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Latin Pop R&B Artist Marcel Red is making his presence felt as he crafts a rhythm all his own and is having the kind of exposure most new up and coming artists' dream of. The Inland Empire based artist is being nominated for a Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) for his music video “Old Boy” produced by Jonas Weeks. Mr. Weeks is known for working with artists such as Bruno Mars, Neyo, Linkin Park, to name a few. The HMMA is scheduled to take place on November 11, 2015 at The Fonda Theater, 6126 Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles.

Every year the HMMA chooses a handful of Nominees from thousands of submissions worldwide. In the September 2015 music genre nominations, Marcel joins fellow nominee’s American singer/songwriter Nikkole and Pop singer/songwriter Flaviyake in the Pop category. Currently, Marcel is in the studio preparing for his first-ever EP titled “I AM…Marcel Red” due for release 2016 during the 58^th Annual Grammy Awards weekend.

Marcel is a musical standout with an immeasurable amount of charm and Latin sex appeal. He is not only a force to be reckoned with because of his amazing vocal talents, but his humble nature has pushed him to achieve higher goals and gain notoriety as an emerging music artist. He brings something exceptionally refreshing and musically credible to the Pop R&B music scene with his team of producers and writers. His music incorporates a vocal style reminiscent of music icons Maxwell, Sam Smith and Brian McKnight while remaining true to his own unique style.

He was inspired by these early experiences, motivating him to share inspiration through music into his adulthood as he perfected his craft. His influences growing up included some of the greatest artists in music, such as Prince, Luther Vandross, James Brown, Maxwell, Brian McKnight, Heatwave and Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Over the past several years, Marcel Red has been focused on his career as a breakout Pop R&B artist. He is currently performing across Los Angeles County. He has also teamed up with producer Jonas Weeks to shoot his video for the forthcoming EP.

Marcel’s future in music is bright as he continues to press forward with his plans, earning recognition along the way.
