Historic UPSL Game Set as the Arizona Scorpions Visit ASU FC to Kickoff the 2016 Winter Campaign

TORRANCE, Calif. - Nov. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- November 13, 2015 – Torrance, CA – Come Saturday evening, all eyes will be on ASU West Campus Fitness Complex as history is set to take place. Head coach Pat Rodriguez leads his Arizona Scorpions into Phoenix to take on Arizona State University FC as the two teams christen the first ever UPSL game in Arizona kicking off play in the newly created Arizona Conference.

For all fans in attendance, the game kicks off at 6:00 PM at the ASU West Campus Fitness Complex - 4701 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendale, AZ.

ASU FC Owner Ryan Martin stated,“We’re really excited to get going this Saturday. Our training sessions have been really good this week, and we can’t wait to step onto the pitch. This group has been together for 3 years; we know what our strengths and weaknesses are and can definitely use that to our advantage going forward. This is an incredible opportunity for us and we are truly proud to be part of a growing soccer culture in America. We expect the best out of our squad every single game and know that if we play the way I know we can, there is no reason we shouldn’t be able to win our conference.”

Arizona Scorpions Head Coach Pat Rodriguez had this to say about his team going into Saturday’s game. “My team is ready not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. We have been working hard, have had strong training sessions and cannot wait to play on Saturday. We’re going to try and be aggressive and let our playing do the talking. We are very thankful to the UPSL for giving us this opportunity to participate in such a dynamic league”
