COA/Council on Aging Volusia Joins the Global #GivingTuesday Movement

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Nov. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- COA (Council on Aging of Volusia County) has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. You can donate in support of COA’s programs and services that care for the most at risk seniors in our community. Services like Meals on Wheels, Companion Care and Respite Support for seniors with early stage dementia are vital to the wellbeing of our community and need your contributions!

Occurring this year on December 1, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to

kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

For nearly 50 years, COA has been the premiere provider of services to seniors in Volusia County. Thousands of clients each year receive services such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, companionship and Meals on Wheels.
