By: ZeMis LTD The event will give each presidential candidate an opportunity to present their platforms to be followed by Q&A focused on three specific areas of interest: 1) the economy; 2) peace and order / national security; and 3) good governance. The event will be broadcast live on ANC (Asia News Channel) during their primetime news beginning at 7:30pm. The event will be moderated by Ms. Karen Davila, the Philippines’ "To our surprise, a substantial number of our alumni are still undecided with their choice for the next President." quipped Lindy Castillo of the Wharton-Penn Club. "We would like to provide a venue where candidates can present and expound on issues important to us such as the economy, peace and order and good governance." The event is co-presented by Meralco with LBC, Mercedes Benz, RCBC, San Miguel Purefoods & RCBC as major Sponsors. This presidentiables event is organized by a group of alumnae from the organizing schools: Barbee Chuidian, a former HK-based banker, Carol Dominguez of John Clements, Duane Santos of Greenfield, Lindy Castillo of ZeMis and AKIN LIFE, Luis Esquivias, President of the Kellogg Club; Rosalia Lagdameo of Right Eight Security Agency. All these alumnae are from either Harvard, Kellogg or Wharton. The Harvard Club of the Philippines (HCP) was formally incorporated in 1997 to engage the alumni towards the School's vision of developing leaders that make a difference globally. To this end, the School has produced some of the world's leaders in the various fields of business, government, law, medicine, public health, engineering, education, design, divinity, the arts and sciences. There are close to 800 alumni from the Philippines. The Club's thrust for the past two years is to unite its alumni through the "One Harvard" initiative. With the heightened attention on Asia and the Philippines, One Harvard initiative has been expanded to include intra-region and in-country activities organized by the various Harvard Schools and Cambridge-based offices of The Harvard Alumni Association and The Harvard Asia Center.
