Upcoming Social Network for League of Legends players: Riftside.net

Nov. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- League of Legends is a popular online game with milions of players and a very successful e-sports branch. It is known in this gaming community that players create many projects to facilitate out-of-game experiences, most of them showing player or champion statistics.

So far, it has not been tried to combine sites such as reddit, twitter and facebook to these sites. Riftside is becoming a leading social portal for League of Legends players, with just that goal in mind; Trying to bring all of that together in 1 website, where our users have the opportunity to enjoy both the social aspects as well as the metrics and statistics. Having in-depth discussions (or even just silly posts), right next to their game rank, match history and twitch stream is a unique experience only this project can currently offer. When you post something on your wall, your followers will be able to view it from their feed and like or comment on it. Users who don't follow you will only see your wall posts by viewing your profile page directly.

And that's not all. Riftside.net also provides a "Space" where, for an example, teams can post either private discussions or public announcements. Spaces are a major part of the communication on Riftside. These spaces can literally be about anything: a team, a group or just a simple topic such as the different roles the game has to offer or the League Championship Series (LCS). For every space you can invite multiple users and set your own access rights (public or private) and rules. Posts in spaces will show up on any user's feed as long as they are a member of that space. In this case they don't need to be following an individual.

Eventhough this project is not (like all the other websites) officially endorsed by Riot, the game developer of League of Legends, some of their staff, called "Rioters" have signed up, giving the project runners compliments for their work.
