Follow on Google News | Union Barrelhouse to partner with Four Peaks Brewery of Tempe ArizonaBy: Union Barrelhouse In short the program works as follows: A representative of the Union Barrelhouse, Anthony Georgoulis, was flown to Kentucky for a first hand look at the Bourbon making process. The event was hosted by famed Master distiller Jim Rutledge, a legend in the region and in the spirits industry. Mr. Rutledge handpicked 10 unique full barrels based on 10 proprietary mash bills and yeast combinations. Georgoulis, was able to taste all ten barrels which varied in terms of aging, mash bills, taste profile, proof, etc. Out of the ten barrels that were sampled by Georgoulis, he handpicked barrel number six. This barrel was picked for its strong oak finish, and more balanced profile than the others. He chose a barrel that is rich in character and accessible to the wide range of palates and Bourbon lovers. After he signed the barrel and sent it to Arizona for bottling and distribution, we worked on labels with our amazing hostess Mandy. A simple label, which shows the four Roses Iconic graphic, with our very own UBH label stating recipe and bottling details. It will contain information such as "Bottled September 2015", our recipe that is OESO, which makes sense if you were there, proof and "bottled exclusively for Union Barrelhouse." Partnership with Four Peaks Brewery of Tempe AZ In order to maximize this project we have worked out a partnership with Four Peaks brewery. The basics are as followed: Once we receive our empty barrel. Four Peaks brewery will age one of their exclusive beers in it for a time to be determined by their brewing expertise. They will then Keg the approximate, three barrels of beer. We will have a truly unique, specially aged Four Peaks beer to sell that truly cannot be had anywhere else in the world. This product will be rolled out around Christmas with signage, fanfare, etc showing off our relationship and partnership. Our very own barrel - In our house With our very own barrel proudly on display we will be able to do the following: Showcase our presence in the bourbon and mixology scene. Offer up a product than can truly not be had anywhere else in the world. End
