Yours Humanly Launches National #GivingTuesday EducationPLUS Campaign

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Nov. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Yours Humanly, a nonprofit that provides access to education for underserved and disadvantaged children around the world, will launch its national #GivingTuesday EducationPLUS Campaign through booster.com/YoursHumanly on Tuesday, December 1. Yours Humanly EducationPLUS runs the entire month of December, and all proceeds will go toward placing underserved children in their local schools and supporting their education, K-12, in the United States and internationally.

#GivingTuesday (GivingTuesday.org) is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the popular shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a global movement that kicks off the charitable season by encouraging and supporting giving and philanthropy.

This year, Yours Humanly joins the celebration by offering branded t-shirts and hoodies with the declaration, "I am helping to send a child to school." Purchase of the $25 t-shirt will provide funds needed to send a child to school for a month, and purchase of the $40 hoodie will provide funds needed to send the child to school for a month with school supplies. Shirts and hoodies will be printed and shipped in January, after the December campaign concludes.

"When you give to Yours Humanly, you make it possible for us to provide long-term support to the children we serve," says Sunny Singh, executive director of Yours Humanly. "This means that in addition to placing students in schools and providing financial assistance, we also guarantee long-term support to help each student flourish from kindergarten through twelfth grade. That's why we've named our campaign EducationPLUS. Funds will go toward placing students and—very importantly—helping them complete the education they deserve without the stress of wondering where money for school fees, uniforms, or materials will come from."
