Allen Turner Chevrolet Raises $6,500 for the Crestview Police Department Cops for Kids Program

CRESTVIEW, Fla. - Dec. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- In the giving holiday season, Allen Turner Chevrolet employees have worked incredibly hard to raise $6,500 for the Crestview Police Department Cops for Kids program. Throughout the year, employees of the dealership have contributed their own money toward the program, and they were able to donate the money to the program early this month.

“Our employees want to be a part of something that helps local people,” said owner Allen Turner. “It feels good for our employees to be able to participate in something that happens right here in Crestview.”

The Crestview Cops for Kids Program is in its 15^th year and is a program set up by the Crestview Police Department to help raise money and toys for underprivileged children in the local area. Donation boxes are set up throughout Crestview, and monetary or unwrapped toy donations are accepted. Members of the police department use the monetary donations to purchase gifts for children, and they then deliver the donations to children in the area during the holiday season.

Tony Taylor, Crestview Police Chief, said, “We’ve been doing this program since 1997, and it’s been a very important program for us. When Mr. Turner came into town and wanted to get involved, I have to say it’s been a great partnership, and there’s no telling how many lives they’re going to touch with the check they’re going to present.”
