St. John’s Episcopal Hospital welcomed their New Year Baby on Jan 1 at 1:15AM with the birth of a healthy  girl.

Skylar Faison was born weighing 6lb 10oz according to mom Shakira.

“Both mom and baby are doing exceptionally well” said Denise Potts, RN, Delivery Care.

This is the first child for the parents, and the mother claimed she was pleasantly surprised at how well the entire birth process went.
