McScrooge’s Announces Special Tasting

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Jan. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Nic Donahue, portfolio sales manager for R.S. Lipman Company, will pour samples from Old Hickory Whiskey and Heroes Vodka from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14 at McScrooge’s Wine & Spirits.

This is Donahue’s second appearance at the store in four weeks, as he previously offered customers a taste of wines in December.

“We are very pleased to host Nic for another free tasting. He’s a great source of information for our customers,” said Brent Barnett, general manager for McScrooge’s.

Heroes Vodka was founded by Travis McVey, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and former member of the Presidential Honor Guard, in 2009. McVey is passionate about helping other veterans, so a portion of every sale goes to Giveback Partner, AMVETS, to develop community assistance programs for American veterans, active duty military and their families. In 2015, Heroes was able to donate $14,000.00.

Old Hickory Whiskey gets its name from Andrew Jackson, who developed his own blend using the distillery on the grounds of Hermitage, his Tennessee plantation home. Both the company’s Black Label and White Label won multiple awards in 2015.
