Mosaic Harmony to Perform for Patients of Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center

Mosaic Harmony has been invited to perform a private concert for the patients of Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center, their family members, and staff of the Center.
 
ARLINGTON, Va. - Jan. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Mosaic Harmony, an interfaith, multicultural community choir based in Northern Virginia, has been invited to perform for the patients, their family and the staff of Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center on Sunday,January10 at 2:30pm.  The mini concert will feature three selections from the choir’s wide-ranging repertoire as well as two original songs penned by the choir’s director. Performing at the facility will be the first for the choir who have over their 22 year history have been asked to perform at intimate venues like this and anticipate that many in attendance may not have heard the choir perform before.

After a performance at a Manor Care facility many first-hand accounts were relayed of the joy seen in patients after hearing music that is uplifting and encouraging. Noted one longstanding choir member, “I’m certain that the patients of the facility will enjoy a concert from the choir, especially after the holidays."

The choir has most recently performed for audiences at Greenspring Residental Home in Springfield, Virginia and will be returning to the Washington Hospital Center for the annual MLK program on January 14th.  Previous performances at Washington Hospice, Manor Care facilities,and Riderwood of Silver Spring with great success in bringing smiles and encouragement to their patients and residents. “I have always seen music as a bridge to reaching people and we especially love performing for senior audiences”, says Mosaic Harmony director David North.
