The Chocolate 5k Comes to Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Jan. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing will hold The Chocolate 5k in Nashville on Saturday March 19th at 9:00 AM. The event will be held at Charlie Daniels Park (1075 Charlie Daniels Parkway Mount Juliet, TN 37122‎) and will support Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee. Race registration is $30 for individuals. With a $5 price increase February 18. There will be a $40 walk up registration fee. All ages are welcome, however, anyone 12 and older must be registered. NR Road Racing presents a chocolatey good time. We are offering you sweet treats to keep you going throughout the 5k. Yes there will still be water stations, but for those of you with a sweet tooth, you can also have a little piece of joy. Enjoy a family-friendly three mile course with your friends, family, and other choc-oholic strangers. It doesn’t matter how fast or old you are; everyone is welcome to participate and join in the fun! After the race, we’ll be still partying and filling up with chocolate. You are invited to hang out and party to the music and have some more chocolate on us! Family and friends are always encouraged to join in the party at the end!

Dreams and Wishes of TN grants Wishes to kids ages 5 – 21 who have relapsed from cancer or have a second life-threatening illness. We also grant wishes to young adults 18-21 that have a life-threatening illness and have not received a wish from another wish granting organization. Studies show that health care professionals who treat children with cancer believe that giving the child something to look forward to such as a wish or dream can improve their physical health and be a positive turning point in their battle.
